Great post — thank you! I love that you didn’t try to reinvent the wheel but focused on just two real, workable steps (setting spray + setting powder) that can genuinely help in humid climates. It’s comforting to see that you don’t need to switch your whole makeup wardrobe — just add smart layers.

A few thoughts / questions:
– I’m curious — have you tested different types/brands of setting spray beyond Urban Decay’s All Nighter and Ulta’s matte version? Do you find some sprays better for certain skin types (dry, oily, combo)?

– Also — with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder you mention, do you ever notice flashback in photos (especially on deeper skin tones)? I’ve heard that some “clear” powders can show up under flash.

– I like your tip of spraying lightly before foundation, letting it get tacky, then doing the rest, and then a final spray — that layering idea seems smart.

– And thank you for reminding people that it takes time for skin to adjust in a new climate. Very relatable.

Overall, I’m going to try this combo tomorrow — fingers crossed it helps my makeup survive Dubai humidity
