I think swimsuit shopping has to be one of the hardest and most frustrating tasks every summer. I’ve been searching high and low for literally months trying to find good swimsuits at good price points. I’ve bought, tried on, and returned so, so many. Anyone else struggling?
Then AEO and Aerie reached out about a summer post, and I took a look at their swimwear. I used to shop at AEO all the time in high school and college, but hadn’t shopped there much until last year when I discovered they had tons of great new pieces. I had never shopped at Aerie, but was thrilled to discover they had a killer swim line. This lace up back one piece swimsuit had incredible reviews, it came in olive green, black, and navy blue, AND it was only $35!!
You guys, this is your perfect summer suit. It’s so flattering, has some chest padding, good coverage in the back and front (even if you’re bustier than me), and sucks everything in without feeling constricting. It’s true to size — I’m wearing a size small in LONG, which is the perfect size and length. And I’m 5’6″ and I have a slightly longer torso. I’m so obsessed. They also have a ton of other really cute one piece swimsuits, like this high neck one, this ruffled one, this pink one, and this macrame one. And when they’re all under $40, I can totally buy more than one!
A poolside essential for me is a good pair of shorts I can toss over my suit as a coverup. AEO has amazing jeans, so I knew their shorts would be good too. I picked up this pair from their Vintage Hi-Rise Festival line and I love them. They’re super flattering and have just enough stretch to be really comfy.
I completed the look with pair of cute neutral mirrored AEO sunnies (that are only $16!) and a bandana from AEO to add a little pop of color to my straw beach tote — although I wish I’d seen this tassel bag charm from AEO when I was ordering. It’s so cute!
Right now they have two amazing deals going on only through tomorrow!:

You’re a wizard- I read the post and almost immediately ordered the suit and the shorts. So excited for them to arrive!!
Also I saw a super cute pair of jeans on your insta-stories.. did I miss those on the blog somewhere?
I have this swimsuit in Navy! I love the STYLE, especially the back. The only thing i would say is it’s a bit low cut in the front, and the back is a bit cheeky. I have a long torso and also ordered a long, which fit fine.
I’ve actually found it to have way more coverage in the back than most swimsuits these days (which are SO CHEEKY, I just can’t do it!!)
Loving this swimsuit! Im looking to order it. Any sizing guiDlines? How Tall are you and dId the long work? Thanks!
i love simple gift wrap, and i love a simple kraft paper gift wrap — but i wanted to give you four simple DIY ideas to spruce up your plain wrapping paper. these are all so incredibly easy and will make your presents so special, so i personally think it’s worth the extra 2 minutes during wrapping crunch time. (especially if you turn on scrooged or love actually or home alone or die hard while you do it) i did all of these on individually wrapped gifts, but you can save yourself time by doing the whole roll at once.
