Happy New Year’s Eve! A few weeks ago we did a little staycation in Riverside (about forty miles away from our house). It was a chilly weekend, so this buffalo plaid coat was perfect for bundling up and seeing all the beautiful Christmas lights.

This was a total last minute outfit that I grabbed as I ran out the door for dinner with Philip, but I love how it turned out. The colors of the sand colored jacket and blush blouse pair so well together, and then I added a pop of glam with these velvet burgundy heels.

Mustard yellow is making a comeback, and I’m totally in love with it. This time around they’re calling it “marigold,” which is definitely a prettier name, but still the same fun color. I love it in this lace top.
