Sometimes pattern mixing with small prints can get a little overwhelming and busy, and that may be the case for this outfit, but for some reason I just love it. And considering the busy bee I am these days, I suppose it’s only fitting.
Also, this top from Aupie, a women’s fashion online store, has such an amazing shape that I’m planning to make a few shift dresses using it at as a pattern. I think the rounded hem and side slits brought down to knee length will look amazing with a pair of tights and wedges for fall! Stay tuned!
i love the skirt and the necklace!

Love this mix of patterns. And I was just thinking of making a stretchy striped skirt… perfect inspiration!

You know what I really love abour your blog? That I recognize things that you've worn before. So many style bloggers, it seems to me, are only showing off outfits they haven't shared before, with only the shoes or something small being the same. I love coming here and thinking "ah, Merrick's striped skirt!" – thanks for being awesome!

I love the shirt! Mixing prints is indeed a little tricky but you sure nailed it with this outfit.
Love your mix of prints here! Absolutely done to perfection. Nice job!
I don't think it's too busy at all – you look fabulous! The pattern and colors of the top are gorgeous!
Its adorable! Love that your top is so versatile! It looks great with the stripes!

I have that skirt too…except I bought it on clearance extra large. I altered it and have worn it to death this summer but just yesterday I noticed I put the front piece of fabric back in inside out! Embarrassing…but not at all surprising.
I love that top, the print is so pretty! I think it works well with the skirt.

This is so cute! Are you wearing a size small in the shirt? I have a black and white striped shirt and I might like to copy our outfit!
I am also wondering if that is a size small shirt. Merrick pulls everything off flawlessly!
Yes, it's size small!
Love this outfit. Gorgeous. I have a similar black and white striped pencil skirt that I need to wear again.

Love this! I'm not great at mixing patterns, but one of the easiest ways to start is with a striped skirt (striped anything, really!).
Your pattern mixing looks great, not too busy and still visually interesting.
