Last summer, when I was pregnant with Buck, I lived in stretchy pencil skirts. They were so nice for pregnancy and accommodated my growing bump perfectly. This summer, now that I have my waistline back, I’m much more interested in a-line skirts, especially if they have an adorable print like this one from eshakti.
And the fact that it has a pretty bow in the front (and belt loops so I can wear it with a regular belt!) makes it even better. Although, I did found out how hard it is to tie bows…clearly I was meant to be a mother to boys.

Lovely skirt! I actually have 2 eShakti dresses and a skirt – I'm wearing the skirt in my outfit post today, in fact! I love this one you chose…bow print AND a bow belt? Fantastic.

Your second eshakti link is a link to Kohls 🙂
good catch! I've fixed it now — thanks!
Tying bows IS hard. I've pinned some tutorials but I've never actually looked at them. Also, I'm pretty sure at least fifty percent of Abby's wardrobe right now has bows on it. She'd love your skirt!
You look so pretty!
I love the skirt 🙂

Free customizing??! Just looked at their site and I think I'm going to have to get me one of their dresses!
This skirt is adorable! And I LOVE the color of your nails! What is it?
It's a NYC polish and it's called "Times Square." 🙂
Cute outfit! Such a girly skirt, love it!

Uhm, I totally just looked at the eshakti. I'm in trouble. I'm a dress girl and I already found SEVERAL dresses I want. Looks like I will be buying some once the tax refund is here! Looking beautiful as usual. Stay blessed.
Better hurry — it seems like their dresses fly off the shelves! I've found items in the past and they're gone when I go back a week or two later. Just a heads up 🙂
you are sooo pretty!!!! i love this fun summery outfit!
Rach, you are so nice! This skirt actually looks like something you should own! It totally reminds me of your style 🙂
Love this outfit. Gorgeous. The bow is perfect.

cute outfit, I love that pretty bright necklace!
This has just totally inspired me to get my sewing machine out. Now if only I could get the hang of the whole thread tension thing, I could have such a cool new wardrobe for the summer..!
Check out your manual (or you can probably find it online if you don't have the manual anymore) — that should give you an idea of where your thread tension should be. Also, most machines have the optimal thread tension marked on the tension setting — for example, the four and five on my machine are shaded darker to show that's where it's supposed to be. Hope that helps, and have fun sewing your summer wardrobe!
Cute skirt!! love the bow print 🙂
I LOVE that skirt, and you paired it perfectly with the top and necklace. I've been meaning to check out eShakti because it looks like they have some great stuff! I definitely need to get on that!

Love this outfit. The skirt is too cute.
What a fun outfit 🙂
I too have so much trouble making a nice bow – I found this Modcloth tutorial really helped a lot:

I finally realised I'd been creating the second loop in the wrong direction and now I'm much more successful 🙂
Oooh, thanks for the link! I'll have to get practicing 🙂
I love your style! You show that mommas can have style and still look modest!
That's what I'm going for! Thank you so much!
Cute, as always! I'm a somewhat newer follower of yours, but I love all the clothes you wear and refashion.
I hope you don't mind if I ask you your size…specifically your height. You look so petite and adorable.
For the record, I'm about 5 feet and a half an inch, and just under 100 lbs.
You make clothes look so cute, even styles that I normally shy away from because of my height. I think knowing if you're also short would help me get on-board with some of those styles I typically wouldn't try.
Thanks so much!
You're so nice! Sorry to disappoint though…I'm about 5'6", so not very petite. But I'm sure you can pull off anything, especially with a tiny figure like yours!
Cute.
When did you get this skirt? I don't see it available online 🙁 it's adorable!!
I just got it a few weeks ago, but it appears to be sold out now…bummer! So sorry!
I love this skirt and the way you styled it! You look so cute. Eshakti has really fun clothes.
