There’s nothing better than seeing real clothes on real bodies. Six of us, all with different sizes, styles, and budgets, tried a bunch of new pieces from different brands and we’re sharing what was a win, what missed the mark, and what’s worth adding to your cart.
Between sales, new arrivals, and seasonal staples, there’s a lot to sort through when it comes to shopping right now. So my team and I decided to try a bunch of things, from jeans and dresses to bras and pajamas, from all kinds of brands. With six women, all in different sizes and styles, this post gives you honest opinions, real try-on photos, and whether each item was a win, a maybe, or a no-go. 1. Quince Bella Straight Leg Jeans
These jeans from Quince were a WIN for all of us. They’re only $50, come in two inseams, 4 washes and are just a classic, high-quality fit. Everyone stuck to their true sizes. We also got THIS BAG from Quince and all of us are obsessed with it.

2. Boden Pointelle Cardigan
This cute cardigan from Boden was a WIN for all of us. It’s lightweight and knit, but not so sheer or open that you need to wear something under it. Everyone stuck to their true sizes (if between sizes, size up). We’re all wearing it with the Quince jeans listed above. Here’s our sizing, from left to right:

3. Aritzia Arlo Hi-Rise Straight Jean, Aritzia Remy Relaxed Jeans, and Aritzia Babaton Cotton T-Shirt
Aritzia is the BEST Brand for basics, truly. My team couldn’t get over this white t-shirt, it’s a flattering boxy cut, super thick and not sheer at all.
The Arlo Jeans (seen on 4 of us) are a great jean with a button-fly. If you’re between sizes, for sure size up as they run pretty small. You may even want to go up one size. Kristy didn’t love them, which is why she’s not pictured here. Our wash is all 7 Year Bleu Taboo.

4. Anthropologie Pants in Olive + Black Magic Fabric, Patterned Magic Fabric + White Denim
If you’ve been here awhile, you know my absolute obsession with Anthropologie’s Colette Pants – I even designed my own line of Colette Pants last year in collaboration with Anthropologie. I wanted all the girls to show you these pants on. The magic fabric is truly magic, it doesn’t sag out and stretch during the day AT ALL. Here is the sizing info, from left to right:

Pumiey is another brand you know I love. They have great BODYSUITS, but the team tried on their crewneck t-shirts. If you’re hesitant to try a bodysuit, this is a great second option. We highly recommend sizing up at least a size in Pumiey, they’re tight!

6. Kut From the Kloth Denim Meg Jeans, Denim Shorts, Cream Denim, Denim Shacket, Knit Top, Cheetah Jacket and Button Top
We have all owned and loved Kut from the Kloth brand for a long time and were thrilled when they asked us to try more pieces from them. Kut From the Kloth runs pretty TTS, their jeans are stretchy so if you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing down.

7. Target White Gauze Skirt
White boho skirts are VERY in right now, and I’m loving this one so much, so is the team. Lauren felt like hers was too long, so she didn’t love it, but it was a win for everyone else. We all styled it differently and I really liked seeing everyone’s style coming out with the same piece. This runs TTS and is great for summer! Here’s sizing, from right to left:

8. Madewell Darted Barrel Jeans in Dobbins Wash
Barrel jeans, are you scared to try them? We were all a little hesitant to try them, but this pair from Madewell pair is perfect. They aren’t too dramatically barrel-shaped. They have a button-fly which keeps them structured. I size down in Madewell jeans, and the girls wish they would’ve in this pair. Kristy didn’t love them on her frame, but all 5 of us pictured here did! Here’s the sizing, left to right!

9. Target Knit Short Sleeve Sweater Cardigan
These Target knit tops look so much cuter on than on the hanger – trust us! Everyone wanted to keep them, they’re that good. These would be a great teacher top, work top, or dressed down for everyday. Kristy did try them it on and loved it, but had to leave for the airport before we got a picture! 10. Sam Edelman Langley Sneakers
Sam Edelman sent us all these darling sneakers, and we loved them! They fit TTS, are comfy for everyday, travel, and more. They’d make a GREAT teacher shoe!
11. Spanx Air Essentials Lounge Set Half Zip and Wide Leg Track Pant
Like so many other items we tried, you KNOW how much I love the SPANX Air Essentials line. From their dresses, to their lounge items, they’re a winner. What we love about this updated set is that they have pockets! Here is our sizing from left to right!

Both my husband and I have loved Tommy John for years, so I was so excited for my team to try them. They’re so so soft, and give a lived in feel right away. We all sized up for a roomier, cozier fit. Here’s sizing from left to right:

I never thought I’d decide on paired outfits until my girlfriend and I went on our first vacation together. I wanted something unusual, so that the photos would be atmospheric and we could just have fun. We started looking for something not too flashy, but with an idea – and found an interesting store dresslily . The choice there was quite large, from funny to stylish options. We ordered for the sake of an experiment – and did not regret it. Now we sometimes joke that we have a “uniform” for traveling. Of course, not for every occasion, but for special moments – just right.
